We have strengthened our marketing team in recent weeks with the appointment of Michelle Cogan as marketing and office administrative executive.
Before joining us, Michelle was festival manager for Cork LGBT+ Pride Festival, working on festival planning in 2020, a challenging year due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Prior to that, she was an internal communications specialist with Voxpro in Cork where she oversaw companywide internal communications. She was also secretary and subsequently chair of Voxpro’s CSR Committee, managing two successful charity partnerships, as well as increasing staff engagement with CSR across the organisation.
Michelle is responsible for the management and development of our social media channels and wider marketing collateral to help raise awareness of our work. She is also currently completing a Level 8 Certificate in Digital Marketing at Munster Technological University (MTU) to develop her skills further.
She said: “Having supported Voxpro’s substantial and highly successful CSR programme, I realised that my goal was to move into the charity or community sector. What’s lovely about my new role with Ag Eisteacht is that I can draw on my CSR experience to date and use my creative and digital marketing skills to support the charity’s mission and vision.”
Dr Maeve Hurley, founder and CEO of Ag Eisteacht, said: “We are a small team, and for us, relationships mean everything. Although we are all still working remotely, and Michelle has only been with us a few weeks, she is already a valued membered of our team. I can see that her style involves reaching out and engaging with our followers on social media and building relationships, which is in line with our ethos.”
