On the 11th of May we held a hugely successful Ag Eisteacht4Business Active Listening course in the Castletroy Hotel in Limerick. Participants came from a wide variety of backgrounds including: Hospitality, Retail, Human Resource Management & Business Consultancy. The variety of backgrounds made for lively and informative discussions and scenarios to work with during the skills practice element of the day. Each participant was enabled to relate the content of the course to their workplace and envisage how they could use the 5 step model on a daily basis.
A key message from the day was that creating positive connections in the work-place positively impacts the bottom line, which is the ultimate goal of the majority of corporations. The participants learned how effective reflecting back someone’s words to them when they are struggling is in making sure they feel supported.
Feedback for the trainers Declan and Bernie was thoroughly positive with participants commenting the course was “very useful for a number of situations both personal & professional” and “very helpful and I would advise my colleagues to do it”.
Photographed below are some of the people who took part in the training. Our next open course is November 16th, if you are interested in attending you can book here.
We also deliver tailored in-house courses. If you would like more information please don’t hesitate to contact Declan Cunningham: [email protected].
