Happy New Year everyone and let’s hope that 2017 will bring with it enriched and supportive relationships. The end of 2016 and the beginning of this year have been extremely busy for our team, as together we finalised details of our new training programme- ABLE.
A- Adopt a relational approach
B- Build & boundary
L- Listen Actively & reflectively
E- Empower, enhance & end
ABLE is a brief intervention model which equips participants with the relevant skills and knowledge to adopt a relational approach to their work. This programme has been developed building on the experience and feedback from the relational training courses delivered by Ag Eisteacht over the past 15 years. It now includes inputs on Infant mental health, Adverse Childhood Experiences and a focus on building practitioners reflective functioning and mentalistion. It has been designed to cater for the needs of front line workers in Ireland in 2017.
A key feature of the ABLE course is its flexibility. We are happy to tailor our ABLE model to meet your team’s specific training needs.
We have delivered the training twice, to date with feedback being superb for both courses. One participant quoted:
“Having done a number of training courses recently on similar themes, I have found this course to be the most beneficial & the one I have got the most from. Great opportunity to participate in a safe environment. Excellent facilitators”
