Building our own Evidence Base!

Dr Sinead Hanafin, Managing Director of Research Matters has compiled a powerful & compelling report on relationships within families, communities & workplaces. ‘Relationships Matter’ displays evidence that poor relationships negatively impact on one’s health & well-being, as well as the fact that good quality relationships have a positive impact on same.

“There needs to be a lifelong approach to relationships” according to Dr.Hanafin- speaking at the launch of Ag Eisteacht’s new training programme ABLE. The research presented in the document certainly shows that relationships are key to supporting people’s health & well-being from the cradle to the grave.

By publishing this research document our hope is that it will help to inform policy & service provision so that needs can be recognised in a timely manner and addressed appropriately. Ag Eisteacht would once again like to sincerely thank Dr.Sinead Hanafin for her work on this report.
