A collaboration with Social Care Ireland to reflect on the impact of unexpected change and transition in social care work
When Social Care Ireland invited us to collaborate with them to support their members with two reflective practice sessions, we were delighted to do this. Our associate, Dr Nicola O’ Sullivan, an experienced facilitator and social care consultant, will run two reflective practice sessions via Zoom for Social Care Ireland on 4th and 11th June.
Covid 19 has brought rapid and unexpected changes to how we work. Using Transition Theory and Systems Psychodynamic Theory, she will invite participants to frame their experiences so far and to reflect on their work processes and experience of the unexpected change and transition that Covid 19 has brought.
Nicola said: “Finding a suitable reflective space to think about our work is recognised as critical to maintaining focused, thoughtful practice. Caring and responding in a thoughtful way is hard if we are stressed in mind and heart. This is an opportunity to put words on how it has been for you, and to reflect on it and to make sense of it. We know that engaging in a process like this can help sometimes to alleviate some of the intense tension that is so familiar these days.”
There are just 18 places available over these two interactive sessions so please click on the link below to book early and avoid disappointment.
