Following a very successful 1 day ABLE2Listen workshop with CUH Charity in November, Ag Eisteacht’s trainers Maeve Hurley and Patsy Hannan checked in with the team to deliver a 2-hour booster session.
The day began by the team reflecting on the strengths that they recognised in each other. The trainers used the ‘At My Best’ strength cards to introduce this exercise, which was reflective, affirming and set the context for the teamwork that followed. The booster session then allowed the team to revise their learnings about their ability to actively listen to donors using the ABLE Brief Intervention model. The session also introduced the team to the stages of grief and loss as described by Kübler-Ross, which some of their donors would have experienced. By the end of the morning participants had learned how to better offer their time to donors and had an increased understanding of the impact of loss on donors and fundraisers. We would like to express ours thanks to the group who were engaged throughout the training and a pleasure to work with.
Ag Eisteacht is happy to tailor its training to meet the specific training needs of teams working together to support others through period of transition, change and / or upheaval. If you think your team would benefit from a training day similar to the one delivered for the CUH Charity staff members, please call Thérèse on 021 5005915 or email [email protected] We are happy to discuss training options that would suit your particular team.
