Ag Eisteacht attended the Growing up in Ireland Annual Research conference and report launch which was held in Dublin Castle yesterday. There were a number of presentations on theday, which were based on the child and infant cohorts of the Growing up in Ireland Study. Researchers looked at a number of areas which are impacting children in Ireland today, including health, parenting, education and socio-emotional well-being.
One finding which we found interesting was that parental relationships play a protective role in a child’s transition from primary to secondary school.
